-3- (11) Front and Rear Brakes. Front and Rear Hubs. These should be released in accordance with Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} 4/WH. 28.1.38. Copy of this memo will be provided. (12) Front Bumpers. These are not required until the cars are finished. The only point outstanding is the question of price. It is hoped to obtain a potential saving of £2. which we are at the moment persuing. (13) Undersheets. These are faily well settled but there are one or two points in regard to the position of the oil drain plugs, in the gearbox, which are being modified at the moment. The reason for the change in the position of the drain plugs is the bend of the crossmember which supports the rear of the engine. We anticipate this will be released for tools in a fortnight's time and immediately the pieces have been made and tried on a car the whole scheme will be released. (14) Front and Rear Engine Mounting. As far as tools are concerned these can be released. Before releasing for production we desire to have further experience in France. The rear engine mounting is being modified at the moment by Mr.D'Aeith and will be issued in a day or so for tools. (15) Petrol Pump. These are an external supply and should be held up until the last possible moment as we are pursuing a possible saving of approx. 30/-. (16) Bijur Piping. This can be released as on 26.C.V1. Part List Fw.1469. (17) Side Spare Wheel Carrier. This is clear for tool design but is awaiting confirmation of bumping tests before we can release for Production. continued | ||
