The steering box should be filled to the level of the filler plug with Price's Amber A oil. Removal of Pivot Pin and Bearings. (1) Jack up front of car. (2) Remove road wheels, drums and hubs. (3) Disconnect cross steering tubes. (4) Disconnect pull rods at bell crank levers. (5) Undo eight nuts holding carrier plate to pivot. (6) Undo oil pipes to bottom pivot bearing. (7) Undo top and bottom pivot flanges. (8) Undo nut at top of pivot pin. (9) Withdraw pivot pin. (10) Pivot can now be removed from yoke. (11) Bearings can be removed from pivot. | ||
