For the attention of Mr. West.
Dear Sirs,
I beg to refer to the 4 Contact Fingers D.B. 78 returned for correction under cover of your Order No. R 2879 of the 19th instant. New springs have been fitted to these Contact Fingers and same have been returned to you by post this morning.
These springs are stronger than those originally fitted and when tested in one direction conform to the test of 1.1lb. The tension of these springs is the best we can manage with this thickness material and I should be pleased to have your report as to their suitability in order that we may use a thicker material should you deem it necessary to further strengthen the spring.
In this event, it will be necessary for us to place an order for the thicker spring steel, as we have no stock of same at the moment.
Yours faithfully,
NORTH & SONS LIMITED.,
