Fitting instructions for a Hobson petrol gauge on a 17-EX chassis.

Attached is a note which we think should be included with this gauge which is to be despatched to India for 17-EX car.

We also think the following information should be sent :-

We have now supplied aAP.100 Petrol gauge for 17-EX chassis. The small air pump should be fitted on the dashboard close to the gauge head in some accessible position where it can be easily operated by the driver.

The triple air line should be fitted up in exactly the same place as the single air line which has been removed.

The three connections to the tank unit cannot be incorrectly made as the 3 nuts and nipples are different sizes.

At the instrument board end two of the lines should be connected up to the K.S. head to their respective unions, and the third to the hand pump.

The instructions given in the K.S. pamphlet which we are sending with the gauge should be carefully adhered to.

When the gauge has been fitted up, two or three strokes of the hand pump should be made and the gauge should thereupon read the correct amount of petrol in the tank.
