Lpl/Av/Dl.12.28. 1st December 1928. Messrs. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} A.{Mr Adams} Stevens, Ltd., Automobile Electrical Engineers, Upper Rathbone Place, W. 1. Dear Sirs, We are in receipt of your letter of the 29th ult. and have noted that you hope to receive the special plugs from Germany towards the end of next week. We regret that you are unable to advise us in regard to the price, and under these circumstances, ask if you will be good enough to send 6 of these plugs to Mr. Hives at Derby for approval and test, and we shall in due course advise you what results have been obtained. In the event of the plugs proving unsatisfactory it is agreed that we shall remove them from the engine and return them to you un-touched in order that you may send them back to Germany. Mr. Hives may decide, of course, to do some preliminary running on one or two plugs to ascertain if they are likely to prove suit-able to his requirements. We confirm, therefore, that the plugs should be sent to him c/o Experimental Dept., Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Derby. Yours faithfully, For ROLLS-ROYCE, LIMITED. (Sgd.) W. Lappin. | ||
