Under date of the 29th November Messrs. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} A.{Mr Adams} Stevens Ltd. have written us as follows:-

" Replying to your letter of the 28th inst. ref: Lp{Mr Lappin}1/Av/D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} we telephoned you on Tuesday but Mr. Lappin was away, and we telephoned you again yesterday. Mr. Lappin was not available so we left a message to the effect that we had received advice that the plugs had been despatched on Tuesday last, and should, therefore, reach us about Thursday next.

The twenty-four plugs they are sending are the same as were used on the Maybach engines of the Zeppelin Airship, and the mark number is DM{D. Munro} 140 S7 (with platinum tips). We have yet to receive advice as to the price of these plugs which we anticipate will be fairly expensive, but the price we take it is not material in a case of this sort.

We understand that the plugs when received are to be sent to Mr. Hives of the Experimental Department, Derby. Perhaps you will kindly confirm this."

We attach for your information a copy of our reply.

Lp.{Mr Lappin}
