Dear Sirs,

X.295.
Xe
X.4164. for the attention of Mr. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Fowler Clark.
X.25151.

We are in receipt of your letter of the 25th inst. with regard to the switchboards which we are making up for you. We are arranging to put the fuse in the circuit as originally suggested by you for these experimental boards. We note that you require a copper fuse, but on the original boards we are supplying fuses of the cartridge type with the ordinary lead fuse wire. It will take some little time for us to arrange to have these made with copper fuses, and it will be necessary to make some experiments first to determine the correct size of copper wire.

We would remind you of your promise to return to us one of the dynamos on which an electrical hum is heard and also one of the machines in which you notice ball bearing noise. If you will send these machines to Great Portland Street for the attention of the writer we shall be very glad.

Yours faithfully,

p.p. S. SMITH & SONS. (MA. LTD.)

MANAGER. ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT.
