To Rs.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary} from My/JW. C O P Y. RE. STANDARDISATION SHEET X.4244. COARSER PITCH REAR AXLE GEARS - 20 HP. CHASSIS. We return herewith above-noted standardisation sheet from which it will be seen we estimate a saving in Cost of Axle quietening of approximately - £4. 9. 0 per chassis. We have qualified our statement with the word "probable" as it will be appreciated that it is not possible to give a definite figure with regard to Axle quietening, as the Costs fluctuate from week to week. To arrive at our figures, we have taken the Costs over the last 4 weeks, during which time coarser pitch Gears have been fitted in larger quantities than previously. My/JW. | ||
