Complaints and corrective actions for a Phantom III vehicle.

There have been four Phantom III with the following complaints :- (1) Steering joggles. (2) Clutch joggles. (3) Ammeter discharge 20 amps. (sticking). (4) Hand brake lever, ratchet out of action. (5) Servo thumps (slack rod.) (6) Brakes pulling to N.S. (7) Springing, rear too much movement ( checked dampers right poundage, control poundage correct). (8) Bad transmission period 50 MPH. (9) Poor slow running. The following have been attended to :- 3AZ46. (1) Clutch fabric had peeled off on the flywheel side,new plate fitted. Mr. Archer returned clutch plate to Derby. New plate satisfactory. (2) Steering Joggles. Side Steering tube rear springs reduced in length to give no pre loading. cured joggle but set up wobbles. | ||
