35-EX.

We want to send this car to France as soon as possible, to continue the test started on 32-EX. Before doing so we want to bring it up to the specification of 32-EX - RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/CP.3/EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}29.4.36.

As 32-EX is of no further use, any bits which are not damaged, such as the whole of the front suspension, radiator, engine unit, and some of the brake linkage, can be taken off 32-EX.

We should like to incorporate one or two modifications from the 32-EX specification, such as :-

(1) Oil cooler elements supplied by Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Std.

(2) All rubber hose connections to be Leyland P.R. rubber as on C-B-IV.

(3) All water joints to be Klingerite instead of Dermatine.

(4) Silent thermometer to

(5) Clutch modifications including -
Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}164/5 driven plate.
3 oil holes in the oilite bush, and limited adjustment, N.Sch.4819.

(6) Rear axle should have the strengthened centre box, nickel steel differential housing, and the large thrust washers.

(7) Brakes. Three of the drums on 32-EX, in Rolls-Royce cast-iron, can be skimmed up and used again; one new drum will be necessary. The brakes should be relined with S.5805 Ferodo material, and held to the shoes with Tinman's headed solid copper solid bifurcated rivets. The anti-clank air dashpot to the front brakes should be removed.

(8) The propellor shaft should have hardened splines.
