BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X. 7230 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}4/M20.9.28. 'SS{S. Smith}' EXHAUST SYSTEM. Herewith we send N.Sch.2715 shewing the heat shield over the silencer. It is on the lines of those previously sent for Phantom and EAC.7, but on account of the different shaped silencer end there are slight alterations necessary. We have shewn the rear end only. We think it may be desirable to fit a similar shield to the centre of the tank, and possibly to the forward end. This can be determined by experiment. The positions are shewn on the quarter size gen. arrgt. N.Sch.2702 also herewith. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
