6066 S/W. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst. Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}4/KW23.3.37. Delco Remy Electric Horns. In reply to your Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst4/AP22.3.37, you will no doubt get GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} to wire up these horns with the relay giving loud and soft effect. They worked all right on my car so far as the loud and soft notes are concerned, except that they were both in my view louder than the Lucas. We certainly do not wish willingly to abandon the advantage of the soft note, which is very pleasant in towns and is one of the attractive features of the horns. It does seem to me that Lucas could make a good job of these horns because when I came to W. on 2nd March to attend the Chassis Conference I had the horns on 3-AZ-38 changed for another pair of modified Lucas horns, and the ones fitted behaved exceedingly well throughout my tour and had very excellent notes. They went through rain and snow but they never ceased to function. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} RWB | ||
