To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Y3580 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M19.9.25. NEW PHANTOMCodename for PHANTOM I. X.3580 X.8840 X.8420 X.421 Referring to the list of comparative weights on the front axle you supplied me with. I do not fully understand the last few items. There is given for instance a weight of the hub - Dunlop, and Rudge-Whitworth - making the latter rather less than 1 lb. heavier than the Dunlop. The hub complete is also given as about 1 lb. heavier, but when the locking device is separated out on Rudge-Whitworth it becomes about 2 lbs. lighter than Dunlop. I am not sure also what is the difference between the locking device complete and the locking nut and retaining ring on the wheel of the Rudge-Whitworth. I thought that they were the same thing, but the weights given are different. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
