It is obvious that the Needle Valve controlling the supply of petrol from the Vacuum Tank to Carburetter on the 'Goshawk', has been placed in its present position under the bonnet, with the object of making the car more thief-proof, as same is inaccessible without use of Bonnet Key.

It occurs to me, however, that in the case of the engine or carburetter taking fire, it would be somewhat difficult for an anxious and flurried driver to get the bonnet open and turn off the petrol, and moreover, even if he kept his head and found the key, the opening of the bonnet itself, would be fraught with considerable danger. I therefore suggest, that an alternative tap be situated in a handy position on the chassis to be used in case of emergency.
