20 HP. OIL LEAKS FROM THE WATER PUMP DRIVE.

With reference to Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/HAW12/KW.9.5.28., we have been waiting for the result of investigations by the Test Department.

The trouble would appear to apply to engines which were built before the oil drain holes were lowered .125. At the same time greater care was taken to obtain accurate concentric setting to the oil retaining thread of the driving shaft.

The oil drain holes were lowered .125 under Alteration No. 10527/E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} on the 21.10.25.
