PRIVATE "HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}" DERBY X8940 Hk{Col. T. Harker - Sales}6/Dn/MM. 15.4.25 Re 98-NK Many thanks for your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LC9.4.25, contents of which have been noted. For your guidance, I wish to point out to you that, when 98-NK went back to England, we did not know whether it would be coming back, and as the touring acquit had not been cleared and we had to take an immediate decision in order to regularize the situation of this car, we were obliged to cancel the touring acquit, assuming that the tests were finished and the car would be remaining in England. However, as you now state that it will be coming back to France, we shall have to renew the formalities to obtain a new Touring Acquit. To this end, it will be necessary to give another banker's guarantee, as per enclosed model, to: Barclay's Bank (Overseas) Ltd. Boulogne-sur-Mer (P.deC.) Please have this done in the same way as previously, and for the same figure, viz.: Frs.117.000.- The old guarantee will be automatically cancelled. On receipt of the present, please wire us : "OBTAIN TOURING ACQUIT NINETYEIGHT NIGEL" from which we will understand that we are to at once go ahead with the application for the new Touring Acquit, as you say that the car will be ready for dispatch about the 23rd. inst. I suppose you will want Croydon to be at Boulogne to meet the car on arrival; also that you are still in possession of the [strikethrough]grey card and[/strikethrough] registration numbers ? HK.{Col. T. Harker - Sales} PS. We have grey card and tax receipt. HK{Col. T. Harker - Sales}/ [Red circular sticker: PIECES JOINTES] | ||
