48940 Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre. France. GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}1/Crn.13.5.25. To: "Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}" From: G.W.Hancock. ------------------- We have finished the engine off to-day, and have been out for a short run. Engine is slightly on the tight side. Oil pressure 20 lbs. Maximum water temperature 85°C. Examination of pistons shews plenty of oil. We shall start in the morning on our usual runs. Please note in my last report to you I remarked that outside examination of induction pipe shewed no cracks. Whilst the engine has been down we have taken the carburetter off, and we have found a small crack in the induction pipe where the carburetter is joined, bottom corner on exhaust outlet side from hot-spot jacket. We shall have finished the 10,000 miles on the coupling and steering column on Sunday. Will you please wire us if we are to return, so that we can fix up for the customs papers. G.W.Hancock.
