Messrs Rolls-Royce Limited. Derby Twenty-second December 1934 Dear Sirs, Attention of Mr. West Your letter of the 20th inst, under the above reference, to hand. We regret to note your remarks regarding the Windscreen Wiper fitted to one of your chassis which has been undergoing a test in France. The point regarding lubrication rather alarms us, because in our opinion sufficient lubrication is provided for a period of two years. We did, however, receive a box from Mr. Evans in London, where the whole of the grease had been removed, and which was fitted to a Car without any grease whatsoever. We regret to note also that you had a failure due to the slackening of the bolt securing the Wiper Arm. This is a matter which has had our attention, and a special insert is now fitted to the Arm which provides more mass, thus ensuring a uniform tight fit. Yours faithfully, KLAXON LIMITED. C.R.
