Sidgreaves - MD} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} C. SECRET x7625 R8/M25.3.29. SS.{S. Smith} AND 20 HP. ELECTRICAL STARTER. X.7625/55. X.5650 SS{S. Smith} The starter was a feature of anxiety. This has been proved to be quite satisfactory. Its silence now only depends on getting good gears, which should also be cut with ample clearance in the teeth, as tight gears will on any starter cause trouble. We hope and believe this is in advance of anything that has been produced. 20 HP. We have very much improved the 20 HP. by our scheme of slipping friction pinion, which now follows a logical theory which should give greater uniformity of action and reliability.
