-2- I trust this matter will be definitely made clear, as at present we are having considerable trouble in having to specially machine certain cylinders owing to there being insufficient projection of the studs after the liner is fitted, and as most urgent cases are cars sent to America, France and Australia, it is necessary that we should send material which will fit without further trouble on to existing cars. In order to deal with the urgent Trials cars, we have supplied what standard cylinders we could procure off cars on test, but this practice should be avoided, as we are anxious to have the cars on test as complete as possible so that delivery can be obtained as soon as some settlement is arrived at with regard to pistons, etc. EP.{G.
