gry.{Shadwell Grylls} 1330. Copy. To By.. from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} (text struck through) Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}4/E11.7.39. re Turbo Transmitter. Many thanks for BY.3/G.8.7.39 with enclosure. This is very interesting to me and I think it was very fortunate that they had got a Humber Snipe fitted with their transmitter so that you could definitely check up the results against our Humber Snipe. My main criticism of it at the time was the feeling of clutch slip whenever you went to pick up as on the Daimler fluid flywheel and, whilst Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} does not actually refer to it in that form, his reference to 'greater fuss' is really the same point. It is quite clear, however, from his report that there are very serious disabilities attached to this scheme so far as we are concerned. It was Mr. Minchin who originally was so keen on our trying this and I have, therefore, taken the liberty of sending him a copy of Gry{Shadwell Grylls}'s report for his confidential information.
