Dear Sirs,

ENGINE FOOT RUBBERS.

Referring to your letter of the 21st inst. (ref.FBJ/LEM/FHC/4. Phys.Lab.) marked for the attention of Mr. Rowbotham, the matter has been handed on to me to deal with.

We have given this matter some consideration, but find that the rubbers are much too weak to permit of using same on production. In view of this therefore it will be necessary for you to produce the new mixing you speak of in the letter referred to, and let us have a further set of samples which we expect will then conform to our requirements. In the meantime it will be necessary to see that we get a sufficient supply of the rubbers as previously produced to enable us to meet our requirements, as obviously it will be wrong to shut down the old source of supply, however inconsistent it was (since we were able to obtain by selection rubbers conforming to our drawings) until you are definitely in the position of having tried out samples from the new mixing to meet our requirements.

Yours faithfully,

By
