EXHAUST HEATING TO PHANTOM II CARBURETTERS. ---------------------------------------- Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}23/Ell.11.29. We have come up against a difficulty with the exhaust heating due to a distinct noise caused from the exhaust passing through the hot spot. As the exhaust is only taken from one cylinder, it can distinctly be picked out. At first we thought we could easily cure this, but it is giving us a certain amount of trouble because when we have reduced the noise to a passable extent, we then do not get sufficient heat. We are not afraid of the hot weather conditions because we have artificially reproduced these and are satisfied there will be no trouble. There are one or two schemes in hand which we hope will reduce the noise trouble. We will report again in a weeks time. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
