Letter concerning the supply and modification of Watford EO.6 Magnetos with North & Sons Ltd.

The 2 magnetos referred to in your note were duly despatched to North & Sons Ltd. and we are now in receipt of their letter dated 20th inst. stating that the magnetos have arrived at their Works and they hope to send us a report on same today. Your note also refers to 2 magnetos 73970 & 73972, regarding which you wrote in EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 7/T8.7.25. Said magnetos were despatched to Norths on 9th July last, together with copy of your Specification of Performance of 6-cyl. Magneto without Automatic Advance for R.R. 40/50 HP. Car, dated 25.2.25, and at a later date (13th July last) I sent Norths a copy of EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 10/T8.7.25, being a report on Watford EO.6 magneto 82558 with increased air gap between the pole shoes and the sleeve, and with that I sent a copy of your note of 9.7.25 headed "Utility Performance Curves of Magnetos". We have on more than one occasion drawn the attention of Norths to the fact that our letters of 9th and 13th July have not been replied to; therefore when writing them on 16th inst. we referred to said letters and repeated our request for replies. North & Sons' reply dated 20th inst. already referred to explains the delay; I attach hereto copy for your information. You will note Norths quote £5.0.0 less 20% for the effective modification of the 2 magnetos 73970 & 73972. I think you are already aware of what I term the "effective modification" consists and the letter states what it includes. Mr. North will be here tomorrow (Thursday) and we shall hear what he has to say with regard to the modifications which are necessary to make the New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I magneto acceptable.
