Messrs. Geo. Salter & Co.Ltd.,
West Bromwich,
Birmingham.

Dear Sirs,

With regard to your letter of the 13th inst., we have no intention of changing the material of these springs now that they are to be used for production cars.

Our experimental tests where the failures have occurred are severe tests. We therefore expect you to continue using Silico Manganese steel, taking particular care of the exterior finish.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
