f.{Mr Friese} 7360 EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}16/AH.12.1.34 re PHANTOM II - OIL LEAKS UNDER FRONT BRAKES -------------------------------------------- With reference to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}13/E29.12.33, the cause of the oil leaks we have ascertained from N. and they report that they found oil leaking badly from the face joint of the lower pivot flange C.75950/1. They also report they have had one or two similar cases on Phantom II cars. We suggest that this flange requires the same consideration as was recently given to the Bentley, where this flange was strengthened up owing to oil leaks taking place in a similar way. We have not experienced oil leaks on the Phantom II chassis at this point while on test, nor have we with the Bentley, and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} was very emphatic that this job should be done on the Bentley as this trouble developed on a Bentley after being in service a short time. It would appear that the same action is now taking place with the Phantom II car. EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} GRY{Shadwell Grylls} See me Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
