Re 'PHANTOM II' INSTRUCTION BOOK

NO. VI.

We send herewith a copy of the revised 'Phantom II' Instruction Book, No.VI. To NRC.{N. R. Chandler} (Bombay) we send three copies (Exide), as recently requested.

The issue of this book should commence at once and no more of the No.V Edition should be used for present production.

With the exception of reference to the exhaust-heated, in place of the water-heated, induction pipe, (which, however, does not affect any instructions), and a change in tyre sizes, commencing at 101st Chassis in Series L2, from 7.00 - 21 (33" x 6.75") to 7.00 - 20 (32" x 6.75"), the differences between this Book and the No.V are due to changes of practice and not of design.

The new Book should therefore be used in future instead of the No. V for replacement purposes in connection with earlier 'Phantom II' Chassis, but when used for Chassis earlier than the 101st in Series L2 the tyre sizes should preferably be altered back by hand on page 20 of the book, and also on pages 10 and 12 of the Dunlop pamphlet.
