I think the best remedy for the trouble in question is a floating bush.

We have got a Standardization Sheet for this already, and I have instructed that we should at once produce the floating bush type pinion, and as soon as material is available, scrap any of the present type material.

I believe the adoption of the floating type bush will overcome the trouble.
