With reference to Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}10/MW.4.11.33. We are in complete agreement with Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} that it will be necessary to maintain the present quality of timing gears after the introduction of the balancing cam. Our experience has shewn us that while this device will remove the last trace of rattle which otherwise cannot be eliminated, it will not cure a bad set of gears. Actually on Mr.Bruce's car the rattle persisted after the balancing cam had been fitted until we took a small amount of end play out of the dynamo pinion.
