SCHEME 1 SPECIAL NDJT 35 (35 m/m x 90 m/m x 1 1/2") 2 ROWS OF 19/32 DIAM BALLS 11 PER ROW. THIS BEARING HAS THE SAME OVERALL DIMENSIONS AS 2/MDJT35 & 3/MDJT35 CAPACITY PER ROW OF BALLS = 1660 LBS @ 2500 RPM. THIS GIVES AN INCREASE OF 6% ABOVE 2/MDJT 35 AND 3/MDJT 35. CAPACITY PER ROW OF BALLS OF 2/MDJT35 @ 2500 RPM = 1570 LBS. CAPACITY PER ROW OF BALLS OF 3/MDJT35 @ 2500 RPM = 1570 LBS. THESE TWO BRGS HAVE 2 ROWS OF 12 - 9/16 BALLS. SCHEME 2 SPECIAL MDJT35 (35 m/m x 90 m/m x 1 39/64"). 2 ROWS OF 19/32" DIAM BALLS. 11 PER ROW. CAPACITY PER ROW OF BALLS = 1660 LBS @ 2500 RPM THIS GIVES AN INCREASE OF 6% ABOVE 2/MDJT35 & 3/MDJT35 THIS BEARING HAS BEEN INCREASED IN WIDTH BY 7/64 TO GIVE A MORE ROBUST OUTER RACE & CAGE. SHOULD THIS ARRANGEMENT BE DECIDED UPON THE ONLY MODIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO PARTS MADE BY ROLLS ROYCE LTD ARE AS FOLLOWS:- (1) OIL SHIELD HAS BEEN OMITTED TO PROVIDE EXTRA WIDTH FOR BRG. (2) NUT TO BE RELIEVED AS SHOWN TO CLEAR INNER. (3) END OF PRONGS TO BE REDUCED TO CLEAR INNER. SCHEME 3 SPECIAL MDJT35 (35 m/m x 90 m/m x 1 39/64"). 2 ROWS OF 19/32" BALLS. 11 PER ROW. CAPACITY PER ROW OF BALLS = 1660 LBS @ 2500 rpm. THIS GIVES AN INCREASE OF 6% ABOVE 2/MDJT35 & 3/MDJT35. THIS BEARING HAS BEEN INCREASED IN WIDTH BY 7/64" TO GIVE A MORE ROBUST OUTER RING & CAGE. SHOULD THIS ARRGT. BE DECIDED UPON, THE ONLY MODIFICATIONS TO PARTS MADE BY ROLLS ROYCE LTD ARE GIVEN BELOW:- (1) NEW PINION REQUIRED. THIS PINION SHAFT TO BE 7/64" LONGER BETWEEN BACK FACE OF PINION & THREADED PORTION, TO PROVIDE FOR EXTRA WIDTH OF BRG. (2) NEW END CAP REQUIRED. THIS IS OWING TO LOCKING WASHER AND NUT BEING MOVED FWD BY 7/64 TO PROVIDE EXTRA WIDTH FOR BRG: & OVERALL WIDTH OF OUTER & OIL SHIELD BEING GREATER. (3) NEW OIL SHIELD REQUIRED. OUTSIDE DIA INCREASED TO FIT IN END CAP. (4) SPRING ABUTMENT FACE ON LOCKING WASHER TO BE MODIFIED AS SHOWN TO GAIN EXTRA WIDTH FOR SPRING. (5) COMPANION FLANGE TO BE FACED DOWN ON FRONT FACE SO AS TO CLEAR LOCKING WASHER, ALSO RECESS TO BE MACHINED BACK TO PROVIDE EXTRA W/D FOR SPRING. THIS LATTER MODIFICATION TOGETHER WITH MODIFICATION TO LOCKING WASHER PROVIDES THE SAME WIDTH FOR SPRING AS ORIGINAL.
