-2- Another point we have noted is that if these electric clocks are made to just operate at very low voltages the risk of remaining on contact is practically eliminated. These clocks show a substantially reduced cost over our hand wound clocks which are not by any means trouble free. With regard to the burning of the contact points we would say that the contacts on the clocks we have tested have given no trouble and were reasonably sparkless even at voltages in the neighbourhood of 18. We hope your endeavours to produce an electric clock as satisfactory as the ones we have tested will prove successful as we are still desirous of fitting this type of clock.
