X.1005 - ROTAX DYNAMO ARMATURE. X.1640.

We have now investigated the winding of this armature which has been possible merely by removing the binding cord over the connections to the commutator.
The explanation of the 28 commutator segments where 27 of these were expected, is simply that we find two commutator segments to be dead connected together and used as one in spite of the fact of their double width.
In other respects the armature winding is exactly as you anticipated, i.e. there is a dummy coil, and apart from this a simple straight forward wave winding with two coils per slot.
