Clutch Complaint - Miss. B. F.{Mr Friese} Swinden.

The above car had to be towed in yesterday due to the clutch having burst out.

The following is the record of this clutch.

554 miles Pedal on Board.
2,492 miles " " reset.
7,000 " burst out.

Examination of the clutch shewed that it had been slipped excessively. The pressure plate and flywheel plate was in a very bad condition. The fusing over of the metal was like a destruction experimental test.

In my opinion the trouble is either due to the foot not being taken off the pedal or more likely high revving engine whilst engaging. There is no doubt that it has been brutally treated. The owner is apparently not satisfied, but I think if the clutch had had a chance the above would not have happened.
