21st April 1911 C.J. (2) 13° bevel gear wheel. In the sketches I have made Hunt I have endeavoured to maintain the spherical control. If we can do this and make the rear axle satisfactory from other points of view, it might be advisable for us to build such a car for trial. I have every confidence that a quiet worm drive could be made or that it would soon wear itself in quite a silent gear. I don't think a car of this description at all suitable, however, for trans-Continental and Colonial work, and I am afraid that it would suffer very materially should the back axle be neglected as regards lubrication.
