-2- HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.1/A.11.4.32.cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} We agree to this as the first part of the procedure, but owing to the frame deflection from the weight of the engine, the slight difference between the jig and the engine, and the variation of the thickness of the rubbers, we consider it necessary to make sure that there is no load on the rubbers when the engine is in the frame. The cap over the rubber is very suitable for this, and we suggest that an additional .050" packing washer be temporarily added to the selected adjusting washers. By laying the cap in position a .050" feeler should fit between the cap and the casting. We should state on the drawing that the rubbers must have no load and not more than .005" clearance per rubber. Ha/I.A.Leslie. | ||
