Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG28.1.25. 44-FK CAR. This car will be sent to you this weekend with the following modifications since it was last tested by Sales :- 1. The final design of EAC. Exhaust System and Cut-out will be fitted. 2. Modified control for Radiator Shutters. If any further modification is required, it will mean fresh designs which will have to be approved by R.{Sir Henry Royce} 3. Reduced clutch pedal pressure. The pedal pressure will be the standard for 'V' series. 4. Modified throttle governor. 5. A 15-tooth axle has been fitted in place of the 14-tooth. 6. Front springs changed (made standard for 'V' series). We shall not be able to fit the fabric coupling. There are one or two items in your memo. BJ15/H26.1.25. which we do not altogether agree with :- Item 2. The fabric coupling will be an advantage in reducing vibrations and noises caused by them. Our tests however on a number of cars fitted with flexible couplings have proved that it will by no means overcome all complaints of body noises and groans. We have fitted flexible couplings on to 40/50 cars which have been returned by Sales as being unsatisfactory, and although in each case it has made an improvement, it has not overcome the complaints. We cannot promise that 'V' series contd :- | ||
