K1166 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/KW. 26th September, 1935. Messrs. S. Smith & Sons (M.A.) Ltd., Cricklewood Works, London, N.W.2. For the attention of Mr. C.W. Nichols. Dear Sirs, The 20/25 HP. car on which we were running the Smith's Jacks in France has now returned. After about 3,000 miles one of the Jacks failed due to a leak at the top, which we think is probably a valve leak. It is available here for your inspection any time your representative would like to see it. The car continued running with the pipe to this jack blanked off, the other three Jacks functioned satisfactorily. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
