For the attention of Mr.Bennion-Browne.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of 11th. inst., and would advise you that the rheostats which we obtained direct from Messrs. Lucas will be adequate for our purposes, so there will be no need to forward further samples.

With regard to the application of your heater to our cars, we send you herewith a print of a scheme for using your heater parts with a remote motor drive and which explains our request for a longer spindle - we do not think the trouble which you mention would occur with this scheme as an outrigger bearing is provided for the motor spindle - we had not contemplated for a moment using an overhanging spindle.

As you will see from the scheme, it necessitates a machined spigot on the motor casing to spigot motor in carrying bracket, but as one of the motors left with us has a machined face to its cover we presume this requirement will present no difficulty and would like you to confirm this.

The heater shown on the attached print is a composite one built up from your components - the case is that of your stock heater as retailed to the public, whilst the radiator unit is the one supplied to Messrs. Vauxhall with the exception that the collars on the water pipes are at a different position.
