To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} x350 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}19/KW.1.9.36. Continental Phantom III Steering. We attach marked up blue prints ref. Sk.5015/7 showing some of the modifications we wish to make to the steering levers of the above chassis in order to reduce weight. Our modifications call for the Wraith II cross steering tube joint shown on N.Sch.4849 and smaller diameter tubes to suit. The above N.Sch. has not yet been detailed but we are urging it. We suggest that the necessary forgings could be prepared pending receipt of these details. Will you please make the necessary drawings and construct two sets of parts. Will you please also let us know the weight of the new parts in comparison with those they replace. We will send you particulars of the remainder of the steering system at an early date.
