QUARTERLY COMPLAINTS.

(1) RADIATORS. - Tests have been conducted which shew that if we put eight dents per tube into the radiator there is a further small gain in efficiency amounting to 1º C. As it is no more expensive to put eight dents in instead of four dents, we are recommending this to R.{Sir Henry Royce} So far the square tubes are not shewing up very well dented.
As Brooklands Track is now closed, any further tests we can do will have to be carried out in a wind tunnel. We are making suggestions re this in a separate report.

(2) FABRIC COUPLINGS. - Tests have been continued on these. So far we have not found a coupling superior to our present standard.

(3) SHOCK ABSORBER KNOCKS. - We have taken up the various design points with R.{Sir Henry Royce} GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} has suggested that if we could have an experimental car at Cricklewood for a short time together with an expert production shock absorber fitter, it would enable some of the troubles they are getting to be dealt with on the spot with a chance of testing under the conditions complained of by the customer. We believe that this would be very useful.
