LUCAS P.100 HEADLAMPS. In order to obviate the large number of complaints received regarding the above headlamps will you please make arrangements for every lamp to be inspected as received from the makers as follows :- (a) Make sure that the tripod bulb holder is spring firm into position and that the small spring connecting plunger is not too slack. (b) Operate dippers with a 12 volt battery with the lamp fronts secured and ensure that full dip occurs. Also that the motion of the dipper solenoid plunger effectively breaks the contacts on the contact arm which connects up the series initial operating winding. (c) Ascertain that all screws are tight and electrical connections 100%. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
