x6008 E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. c. to By/RD. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.2/MA.7.6.33. SCREENED IGNITION WIRING TERMINALS TO E.41551. We have now tested this arrangement of making up the ends of the screened high tension cables and find it to be quite satisfactory. The wire was first fitted to a Lodge plug type SR. and was tested for a number of hours with water dripping on it the plug being operated under pressure about its normal operating voltage, this test having proved satisfactory the plug complete with the wire was baked at a 150°C. for 3 hrs. and again similarly water tested for 4 hrs. After this test the wire was removed from the plug and the terminals, and plug fittings were found to be perfectly dry and in a satisfactory condition electrically.
