Dear Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}, I am very sorry that we have done so little of our programme of work for you, but there have been arguments going on now for three months, which have led to a good deal of uncertainty as to the future, and have finally terminated in me having to take up willy-nilly another job. However, arrangements are complete for this place to function here under the care of Mr. Bertelli. After a good deal of delay occasioned by the uncertainty as to the future, we have taken a much larger factory on the Estate here, and we have a sheet metal hammer coming in shortly with which we shall commence experiments on the problem of the production of the pressings. Unfortunately no progress otherwise has been made on the Park Ward body. We were unable to engage further staff etc. to deal with it until we knew definitely whether we would stay here, or move, or cease functioning, or what. With regard to brake drums, we have made some progress. We have made one drum which has been tested at Lockheeds with extremely satisfactory results.
