Low Speed Steering Wobble. We have been aware from the earliest times that a low speed steering wobble could be set up on the India chassis artificially, but until recently we have never known of a case where a low speed wobble was set up accidentally nor where it persisted if the steering wheel was let go. EP. {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} has fully reported on this matter during the early trials of the India chassis. Recently, however, there have been two cases in which, not only was a low speed wobble set up accidentally, but in which it would persist indefinitely if the car speed was maintained even after the wheel had been released. The latter of these - GCK-17. - I tested yesterday, the 19th. March, and found it behaved in such a manner that it could not possibly be passed. This is altogether a different matter and it is necessary that the case of GCK-17. is most thoroughly examined, so that the causes leading to this trouble are discovered and remedied and it is made certain that they are not present in any other 20-HP. chassis.
