CHASSIS ITEMS. Minute No. 11. -5- Item 11 on Agenda. Tool Kit for Peregrine. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} inspected and approved of the Dunlop Jack (made by Lake & Elliott) and the "Kinsman" hand tyre pump. 12. Item 12 on Agenda. Bodies for Bensport and J.II. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} stated that he does not want Park Ward to produce both Peregrine and Bensport bodies. The proposal is that Park Ward make Peregrine and Thrupp & Maberley deal with Bensport bodies. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} said it was of the utmost importance that the weight of bodies for these two models be kept down to the very minimum. Park Wards have been successful in this direction and Thrupp & Maberley will have to be carefully watched to see that they also keep the weight low. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} said he required two Bensport bodies now and Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} decided that these should be built by Thrupp & Maberley as samples of their work. 13. NOT ON AGENDA. Increased braking to front wheels. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} read notes as follows:- "P.II. standardisation sheet fully completed. Number of "chassis on which it will be introduced has yet to be "fixed." Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} says it is not wise to increase the front braking "on 20/25 as no axle control is fitted." This comes in on 51st chassis of O.S. Series. 14. NOT ON AGENDA. Steering Controls modified. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} read notes as follows:- "were not fitted to Peregrine recently sent to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} "en route to France as was intended. Will be available "for inspection on Tuesday, fitted to Peregrine III." Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} examined controls on Peregrine and considers them to be unsatisfactory in appearance. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} will have made up further samples. 15. NOT ON AGENDA. Over-heating Complaints. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} read notes as follows:- "The complaints are being dealt with as they arise. "It has been decided by Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} that it is not wise to carry "a stock of matrices owing to the varying sizes of the "different types. Each one will be made up as required "to deal with each individual case. At present only one "is being supplied and that is for Chassis 116-GN.(Baron "de Graviere.) | ||
