To-BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from E/JNK. E/JNK.2/HP.1.6.33. c: RHO. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Bentley Ignition Governor. We send you herewith - LeC.3522 showing the stops for the governor weights altered from 23° to 19°. This is the result of the experimental test and reported in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/KT.30.5.33. The first 15 cars should be sent out with this amount of automatic advance. In regard to the governor frame, sufficient metal should be left on the stops of the casting so that we can at some future time restrict the amount of advance to 16° if we wish. The governor spring as shown on LeC.3476 is satisfactory. The one having 7.3 coils - EX.11175 should be ordered. E/JNK. | ||
