| ( 5 ) REAR DAMPERS. 33) No lubrication to link spherical joints, became worn and chattered, link tubes too thin, bent and dinted by stones. Coiled springs for retaining dust shields became unwound and lost. Dust shields eaten away by stones and grit. REAR TORSION ROD. 34) Spherical bearings insufficient lubrication, became worn in spherical bearings and floating bearings, rattled. 35) Connecting Links for Torsion Rod. No lubrication to top spherical joints, very badly worn. REAR ROAD SPRINGS. 36) Lubrication ceased to supply spring leaves, oil holes and grooves filled up with swarth at front and rear anchorages. Riding of Car became very hard. REAR AXLE. 37) Bad oil leak developed from pinion bearing housing. Hand Brake rope on Axle chafed on nuts of pinion housing & frayed through. 38) Oil leak down O.S. Axle tube worked its way through the cap of hub on to road wheel. 39) Bell crank levers of hand brake jammed and would not return, which left Brake ropes slack. EXHAUST. 40) Whistle developed from snout. 41) Joint washer of Exhaust manifold burnt out. Joint washer of down pipe to front silencer burnt out. 42) Stay from intermediate pipe to Clutch housing broke. ROAD WHEELS DUNLOP 7.00 X 18. 43) The outer spokes of the wheels were continually breaking, front and rear wheels. | ||
