| HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re the Bentley. Copy to E.Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} x7961 I tried some time ago to lend one to Mr. W. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Rootes as, although he had tried the car originally when it was first announced, he had never had one to himself for a few days. I eventually arranged for him to have it over the August Bank Holiday week-end and I thought you would be interested to know how pleased he was with it. He says: "Really the car you so kindly lent me was a dream - its silence, coupled with its acceleration and speed - was a revelation, and an experience that I appreciated your making possible for me to have." "It is of no value wishing it success, for it is that already - may it however, long continue." Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
