Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.

16th April 1937.

In reply to the concluding paragraph of your letter, unfortunately it is not possible to quote you a figure until such time as we have completed the new sample set of equipment. We take this opportunity of apologising for the delay in finishing the latter, but would point out that it is an extremely difficult matter to obtain delivery of certain special items which are the responsibility of outside suppliers. We thank you in anticipation of your kind indulgence in this connection.

Yours faithfully,

For S. SMITH & SONS (MOTOR ACCESSORIES) LTD.

Charles Whicnols.

SALES DIRECTOR.
