To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} c. to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} re Armrest for type BD{Mr Berend} Naval Gun Bronze Cradles. On QPL.133 (original attached to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH's copy of this memo.) we shew the modified armrest and fixings for use with the bronze cradle. The armrest is the same as that on QPL.116, already issued for the first 50 guns, with aluminium cradles, except for the position of the fixing tubes. We suggest that Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} should contact HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/Butler and the firm undertaking the rubber covering of the armrest in order that the mould which is being produced may be made to accommodate both types of armrest.
